SeeDNA Biotech Inc. was founded in August 1994 as a biotechnical company dedicated to gene mapping and genome analysis.
SeeDNA's mission is to develop and provide cutting edge FISH technologies and products, for the Human Genome Project and its commercial applications, to scientists from academic institutions and biotech/pharmaceutical companies.
Based on its service and research capabilities, SeeDNA develops novel concepts/ experimental systems/ products essential for gene therapy and the diagnosis of human diseases. With these advanced methodologies, SeeDNA provides unique FISH services to the genome community, such as mapping cDNA probes of 1-2kb on banded chromosomes, performing high resolution FISH analysis on released chromatin/DNA fiber, visualizing in situ DNA-protein interaction, and analyzing inserted genes for transgenic mice or cell lines, as well as tracing the integration sites of gene-therapy-constructs for host cells.
Research and development have maintained SeeDNA in a leading position in the field of high resolution FISH analysis and small cDNA FISH detection. SeeDNA provides conventional FISH analysis similar to other companies, but with much higher quality and customer satisfaction.
SeeDNA holds US patent 5470709 for chromatin fiber mapping and has mapped over 3500 novel genes utilizing FISH.
SeeDNA is eligible to participate in the Industrial Research Fellowships Program,
from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC). Detailed information
